In the mystery/thriller novel XO by Jeffrey Deaver, a young pop star is rising to the top of the charts when she becomes the target of a crazed stalker fan. Songs in the novel contains clues that will help investigators determine where the killer is going to strike next. Readers can look for these clues contained in the album (with lyrics penned by Deaver, performed by folk/Americana singer Treva Blomquist and music by songwriters Clay Stafford and Ken Landers) as they read the book, joining along with the detective or simply enjoy the infectious country pop songs on their own.
